One Nine 5's Eco Essential pouch is crafted from a durable Polyurethane (PU Leather). While polyurethane is a form of plastic, the brand explains in their frequently asked questions (FAQ) that they felt this material was the most durable and long-lasting option. The pouch is lined from 100% recycled Polyester (rPET).

What is The UK Return-to-Recycle Scheme?

One Nine 5 offer a free UK return to recycle scheme in partnership with TerraCycle. One Nine 5 says this helps to “ensure that all materials from the items you return are either reused or recycled.” The brand explains that they only offer pre-paid shipping to those based in the UK. However, anyone outside the UK who wants to return a product for recycling can cover the shipping costs. One Nine 5 say that UK and international users of their return to recycle scheme will be provided with a 25% off discount code for your next purchase.

How To Organise The Pouch

• The Eco Essentials Pouch features mesh pockets, elastic loops & a zipped pocket which divides the pouch into two sections.

• Elasticated loops — Allowing you to store two pens, pencils, drawing stylus or thin cosmetic brushes.

• Large elasticated loops — The pouch features a small, medium, and large elasticated loop below the pen holder. Depending on the loop you could fit a compact plug, chewing gum or miniature travel cosmetic item.

• Two pockets allows storage for cables ensuring they stay tangle free, alliteratively store headphones or a travel mirror.

• In the gaps either side of the zip, you could store a power bank, like I do. However, be mindful of the width of the pouch at this point to make sure it can close effectively.

• A zipped pocket on the inside divider offers a place to keep thin valuables safe such as coins, medication, glasses wipes/clothes and small adapters.

• The wide clamshell opening allows you to easily grab the item you are after and allow easy access to the internal zipped pocket.

I own the Eco Essentials Pouch in black; however, the brand offers grey, pink and blue options. The pouch is durable and is showing no signs of wear over the last 12 months of usage. Over the last 12 months, I have changed how I utilise this pouch, with its current role being in my work bag. The compact design means the pouch doesn't take up too much space, and the size allows me to easily grab it if I am going to a meeting. Should you choose to clean the pouches in the outer material, it is recommended to use a none abrasive method.

Over the past few years, I have used the pouch to hold various gadgets to support my studies as a student and now in my commutes to work. The clamshell opening allows me to find my favourite items and organise them. The pouches dimensions allow me to easily grab the pouch and put it in the bag of my choice. Finally, the varied sized pouches, pockets and elasticated loops allow me to place items accordingly.
